Stuff you'll forget/don't need to know

1. In A.D.1, if the total population divided the Earth's surface, each person would get approx. 255 sq. mi.! In A.D. 1000, 134.2, and in A.D. 2000, 8.2! Scientists estimate that by A.D. 2100, each person will get 3.6 sq. mi.!
2. In N. America, 26% of the population live in a rural area, while in Asia, 72% live in a rural area.
3. The 10th most spoken language is Portuguese, with 90 million speakers. But 740 million speak Chinese, making it the world's most spoken language. English is second, even though it only has 320 million. That's a big difference between 1st and 2nd!
4. The swastika, a hated symbol of the Nazis, is actually a Hindu religious icon!
5. one tetrasecond=31,689 years, one gigasecond=31.7 years, one megasecond=11.6 days, one kilosecond=16.67 minutes, one millisecond=0.001 seconds, one microsecond= 0.000,001 seconds, one nanosecond=0.000,000,001 seconds, one picosecond=0.000,000,000,001 seconds, one femtosecond=0.000,000,000,000,001 seconds, and finally, one attosecond=0.000,000,000,000,000,001 seconds (anything smaller than that doesn't matter anyway.)
6. And now roman numerals. I=1, II=2, III=3, IV=4, V=5, VI=6, VII=7, VIII=8, IX=9, X=10, L=50, C=100, D=500, M=1000. (so X-VI=IV.)
7. the Dodecagon, a shape you did not learn about in preschool, has 12 equal sides, but the Undecagon only has 11 equal sides.
